'Own Art' Loan Scheme

Art-el is now a member of the Own Art scheme, which makes buying art easy and affordable by letting you spread the cost of your purchase over 10 months with an interest free loan.

Own Art loans allow you to borrow from as little as £100 up to a maximum of £2,000 for the purchase of contemporary art and craft of any kind, and in many mediums as long as they have been created by living artists.

Own art is available for the purchase of limited edition prints but only where the artist has produced these in an edition of 150 or less (Own Art cannot be used for the purchase of Giclée prints).

The minimum you can borrow is £100 but this can be used to cover a group of lower value items whose combined total adds up to £100 or more.

If you are buying something more valuable than £2,000 you can use an Own Art loan as a part payment. Please note that you cannot apply for multiple Own Art loans to cover the costs of a single purchase.

Own Art is available to all UK residents over the age of 18, subject to status.
